Researcher biography

Habte Belete is an academic staff member of Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He has been involved in research work and published articles in the area of mental health and substance misuse, and involved in teaching undergraduate and masters’ students in his department, Department of Psychiatry. Habte has a BSc degree in psychiatric nursing and master of science in Integrated Clinical and Community Mental Health. He has commenced his PhD study offshore (School of Psychology) with a one-year offshore study plan. Habte’s principal supervisor is Dr. Janni Leung, and co-supervisors are Dr Gary Chan and Prof Leanne Hides. He has also co-supervisor, Associate Professor Fentie Ambaw (PhD) from his local University/Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia until he comes to UQ.
