Researcher biography

Carmen is a biostatistician and postdoctoral research fellow at the National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research and the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence on Achieving the Tobacco Endgame. Carmen’s PhD has focused on the emerging trends of cannabis vaping in the USA and Canada. Her current work at the CRE investigates the factors and attributes of people who access illicit tobacco and vaping products. She is also interested in leveraging social media data to address the emerging threat of youth substance use.
