Dr Juliane Pariz

Dr Pariz is a clinical trials and research manager at NCYSUR and an associate research scientist at Yale University Child Study Center Clinical Services. 
She is is a  clinical psychologist and AHPRA-registered Psychology Board-approved supervisor whose areas of clinical focus include parental substance use and co-parenting matters. Dr Pariz completed a clinical and a research master’s in psychology in Brazil. Her PhD was completed on the Gold Coast at Griffith University, where she investigated the developmental origins of antisocial behaviour in children and adolescents. Her ongoing research at NCYSUR focuses on parenting practices, adolescent substance use, and early intervention strategies. Dr Pariz specialises in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), offering targeted interventions for externalising behavioural difficulties, including ADHD and emotional and behavioural dysregulation in children, adolescents, and associated family relationship challenges. Her practice is grounded in attachment-based, trauma-informed care, schema therapy, neuro-affirming approaches, family systems and cognitive-behavioural frameworks.
